Kingston Churches’ Action on Homelessness in Norbiton is looking for volunteers to help staff it.

The charity is offering space for up to 30 people, which is twice as many as last year and a direct response to demand.

KCAH says it has had support from Kingston Council and a borough-based landlord of a disused space in the town centre for the shelter.

Trust for London estimates there are 107 people currently sleeping rough in Kingston.

Trust for London is a not-for-profit organisation which commissions research into poverty and inequality in London.
