A driver has been arrested after he overtook a queueing police car in order to run a red light in Cobham.

The VW Golf overtook three vehicles at a set of temporary traffic lights in Downside Road last week.

But one of the three vehicles queueing happened to be an unmarked police car, which pursued the vehicle.

The driver provided a positive drug wipe for Cannabis and was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.
