A coroner’s criticised the ‘systematic failings’ which led to a newborn baby dying after an inmate gave birth in a locked cell at Bronzefield Prison in Ashford.
The woman cried out for help as she went into labour in 2019, but was ignored by staff.
The court heard the fact she was vulnerable had also been disregarded.
