A Consultant Gynaecologist at St George’s Hospital in Tooting has been appointed to the House of Lords as a Labour life peer.

Geeta Nargund has been selected by Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, and will sit as Professor Baroness Nargund of Wimbledon.

She has worked at St George’s since 1996 and is widely recognised for her leadership in women’s health and reproductive medicine.

Baroness Nargund is also the founder of CREATE Fertility and ABC IVF.
