Kingston Council’s licensing committee says St John the Evangelist in Grove Lane will be allowed to sell alcohol and stage live music events until as late as 10.30pm.
Residents had raised concerns, but the application was approved after it was revealed that the church needed to raise money to cover its monthly bills of around £5,000.
