A charity’s warned that children in some parts of South-West London are already falling behind by the age of two

Figures from the Office of Health improvement found a quarter of all two-year-olds in Hounslow were below the expected standard for communication.

A similar number were having difficulty mastering fine motor skills like grasping and holding.

Action for Children says early years are critical and it’s asking the government to make more help available to families.
