A charity in Leatherhead is trying to raise awareness of the number of unpaid carers in the workplace.

Crossroads Care Surrey is encouraging directors and managers of companies to allow more flexible working for them.

40% of unpaid carers give up 35 hours of work a week and 22% have to reduce their working hours according to charity, Carers UK.

Head of fundraising at Crossroads, David Annand, says this isn’t right.
