The aim of the initiative is to save food from going to waste while helping to feed those who are struggling financially.
The Fridge, in Crown Lane in Morden, saw a record number of 1,061 visits during October.
But funding for it runs out in March next year and residents and businesses are being urged to donate to help save it this Christmas.
