“Prepare to Recover” is an initiative aimed at people who are waiting to have surgery.

It combines exercise, hydration and nutrition services to help patients maximise the likelihood of having a successful operation.

A key feature of the programme includes providing those awaiting surgery with a wearable health monitor to track their vital signs.

These metrics can help identify potential concerns well in advance of the planned surgery so they can be rectified before it goes ahead.

The scheme will initially run from the Council’s Greeno Centre in Shepperton with support from the North West Surrey Alliance.
