A baby born on Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday has been named after the famous environmental broadcaster.

Ambrose Attenborough Whyte entered the world just before midnight on the 8th of May.

His parents, from the Welsh county of Powys, say they wanted to honour the conservationist.

Dir David, a longtime Richmond resident, celebrated his 100th last Friday.
