Flood prevention work is underway in a part of Hammersmith to help protect homes and shops from heavy rain.

Two new rain gardens are being built in Hammersmith Grove to soak up rainwater and reduce the risk of flooding.

Pavements and crossings are also being improved, with more work starting on the south side of the road later this month.

Residents will be invited to help plant the gardens from October.
