Additional police officers are going to be put onto Wandsworth’s streets.

The council’s new leader, Robert Morritt, wants to allocate more cash in order to increase the size of neighbourhood police teams.

It’s thought the funding will come from a review of the council’s Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy.

This is a charge imposed on developers who build in the borough.
