A man has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after a police pursuit in Esher uncovered a wider vehicle theft investigation.

30-year-old Lukas Arsulis crashed a stolen £90,000 Mercedes GLE on Portsmouth Road before being arrested by officers.

Police linked him to further vehicle thefts across Surrey, including the theft of a Mercedes GLC from Bisley.

He was convicted of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles, dangerous driving, criminal damage and other offences.
