Under-21 sides from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City will be competing in the group stages of next season’s EFL Trophy.

16 Premier League clubs with category one academies will again join League One and League Two sides in the competition.

The groups will be drawn on Thursday.
