23-year-old Rachel Nickell was stabbed to death in front of her 2 year old son, Alex, as they walked near the iconic Windmill.
The initial police investigation resulted in the arrest and imprisonment of an innocent man, who was later acquitted.
Rachel’s killer, Robert Napper, was not identified and convicted until 2008.
The Witness is a dramatisation of the events that unfolded told through Alex and his father’s experience.
