A yellow cold health alert’s been issued for much of England and it’ll come into force later today until Friday.

The UK Health Security Agency’s warning the weather this weekend will likely pose a ‘greater risk to life of vulnerable people’ and see additional pressures on the NHS.

It’ll apply to all regions apart from London and the south east.
