People around Twickenham are being urged to donate blood as the NHS remains under Amber Alert because of low stocks.

There are around 700 appointments specifically for blood donors now available each week at the Twickenham Plasma Donor Centre.

There is a particular need for more people with O negative blood to come forward.

This type can be given to anyone and is vital in emergencies.
