A fire at a student accommodation in Chelsea is believed to have been caused by a heat source placed too close to combustible items.

The brigade was called to a studio flat on the 9th floor on Manresa Road just before 2pm yesterday.

And LFB Spokesperson says with winter coming, people should always “place heaters away from anything that could catch fire.”

Around 30 people left the building before the Brigade arrived and there were no reports of any injuries.
