Boss Enzo Maresca says he’ll speak to the England international today after the winger’s camp issued a statement “seeking clarity” on his role at the club.
Maresca’s also defended his decision to make Enzo Fernandez captain in the 2-nil defeat.
The Argentina international was filmed singing derogatory songs about black French players following his country’s Copa America triumph this summer.
But Maresca insists the midfielder’s apologised for the incident and they’ve moved on.
