63 year old Graham Gomm was taken there by prison staff yesterday after being taken unwell.
He had been on remand for burglary offences.
He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and grey tracksuit and police say there is nothing to suggest he is a public threat.
If anyone sees Gomm they are asked not to approach him but they should call 999.
