The NHS is aware of a global IT outage and an issue with EMIS, an appointment and patient record system, which is causing disruption in GP practices.
There is currently no known impact on 999 or emergency services, so people should use these services as they usually would.
Patients should continue to attend healthcare appointments unless told otherwise.
NHS 111 should be the first port of call, if you need medical help or advice or are unsure about whether you should go to hospital – a trained adviser will provide advice and the best care pathway.
