Whitegates Care Centre is a specialist nursing home which provides support to those living with such conditions as stroke and dementia.
T H Sanders & Sons said it deeply regretted any unintended distress claiming the cards were to be exchanged by residents if they wished.
But care home staff said, “Residents were thrilled to receive the Valentine’s Day cards and they all had a lovely day celebrating.”
