Jack Gingell and Ross Kluth are accused of taking, harming or killing a wild bird and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
It’s after an incident in the town centre on the 7th of July last year.
The Mute swan is known as the “Royal Bird” and it is criminal offence to harm them or damage their nests or eggs.
The 18 and 19 year olds have been released under further investigation and are due in court in March.
