The pedestrian crossing over the railway line on Epsom Common is being removed over safety concerns.

Network Rail says the bridge structure has become unsafe to use.

The company has committed to replacing the bridge by the end of April.

It’s thought the current bridge will be removed in early December.

Epsom and Ewell Borough Council says;

Please be aware that the pedestrian crossing over the railway line on Epsom Common is being removed by Network Rail around 9-10 December. This is because the bridge structure has become unsafe to use. Network Rail have committed to replace the bridge by the end of April 2024.
