Three communities in Surrey, including Walton-on-Thames, are set to receive a boost to their safety after securing £1m of funding.

Elmbridge has secured £333,000 to address anti-social behaviour, crime and violence against women and girls in Walton.

This is part of the Government’s Safer Streets funding, which has provided over £120m in grants for projects to improve street safety.

Councillor Bruce McDonald, Leader of Elmbridge Borough Council, said: “We look forward to working together with a range of partners to deliver these key interventions.”
