Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex charity is celebrating 10 years of life-saving night flights.

In 2013 it became the first service in the UK to begin flying 24/7.

Since then, the charity said its helicopter had carried out over 4,000-night flights and cared for 2,355 patients at night.

The service, which costs £45,000 per day, is run by a charitable trust, and largely funded by donations from the local community.
