Your early morning run could soon help harvest enough electricity to power your wearable devices.

That’s according to researchers at the University of Surrey who are developing new nanotechnology.

Nanogenerators can convert small amounts of everyday energy, like motion, into a significantly higher amount of electrical power.

The University predicts we’ll have over 50 billion Internet of Things devices in the next few years that will need energy to be powered.
