Work has begun to prepare the sites of Merton’s first new council homes in a generation.

Phase one will see Farm Road Church in Morden, one of four locations in the borough, prepared for the new properties.

The other locations are Elm Nursery Car Park, Raleigh Gardens Car Park, and land at Canons, all of which are in Mitcham.

The developments are being supported with a multimillion-pound investment from the Mayor of London.
