The project is being delivered by Network Rail and funded by the Council and the Department for Transport.
The work includes opening up a brand-new second entrance at Odyssey Way and installing lifts to all platforms.
More than 3.7 million passengers used Wandsworth Town Station between April 2024 and March 2025.
That makes it the 15th busiest station on the South Western Railway network.
