But a new study has revealed the other areas of the UK that are hot on its heels to produce the next championship players.
Insurance provider SportsCover Direct, has examined a number of tennis centres to assess the ones offering the most junior activities.
Ranking first, and the most likely area to discover Wimbledon’s next tennis star, is Waverley in South East Surrey.
There are an average of 17.1 locations offering junior tennis activities per 100,000 people there.
Richmond placed second, with an average of 15.9 locations.
The borough also offers the most places to play tennis out of all of the locations in the top ten, with 46 in total.
Ranking third is Brentwood in Essex, with an average of 15.6 locations offering junior tennis activities per 100,000 residents.
