Wimbledon Common has been voted as second place for it’s outstanding natural beauty in the BBC Wildlife Magazine poll.

The magazine asked 60 conservationists, writers, presenters, and photographers to share their favorite places for wildlife in the UK.

Covering 460 hectares of green space, Wimbledon Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation.

Thanks to its rich grassland and heathland, it attracts a diversity of wildlife including badgers, foxes, kestrels and kingfishers.
