Wandsworth council must pay a homeless mum almost £14,000 after moving her two hours away from her disabled son’s school.

A Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman report said the long journey to school put him at higher risk of seizures.

The school reported concerns to the council about the impact of the long commute in June 2022.

Wandsworth Council said they accepted the findings and were fully committed to learning the lessons of the case.
