The new collections are a part of the council’s Cleaner Borough Plan to improve rubbish and recycling services.
Residents are being encouraged to simply put their items out alongside their rubbish, in a plastic bag, which can be recycled.
There are also several community recycling banks at publicly accessible locations across the borough and all libraries.
