Both parks have ponds, lakes and streams but there is a danger of deep water obstructions and there are no lifeguards on duty.
Swimming is also a breach of The Royal Parks Regulations which can result in a court appearance and fine.
The only park where you can swim, in the designated Serpentine Lido in Hyde Park.
