Two police cars have been rammed and an officer nearly run over during a pursuit in Sutton.

Officers on patrol in the area last night spotted a vehicle with a county lines marker and a possible unlicensed driver.

The driver tried to flee damaging the police vehicles in the process but was detained shortly after for having a fraudulent driving licence.

They were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A’s, assault on an emergency worker, criminal damage and failing to stop.
