40-year-old George Elliott was arrested in Esher on Thursday, and 42-year-old Mark Lett was arrested in Ramsgate.
They both appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court today.
They were charged with raping a man, and with committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence.
The 19-year-old victim reported being approached by two men in Old Steine around 3.30am on the 21st December, before being raped nearby shortly afterwards.
The pair will next appear before Lewes Crown Court on Monday.
