Two Just Stop Oil activists have been found guilty of criminal damage after throwing soup at a Vincent van Gogh painting.

Phoebe Plummer from Clapham and Anna Holland damaged the frame of his Sunflowers masterpiece at the National Gallery in 2022.

The 22-year-olds threw two tins of tomato soup over the glass-covered painting and then glued their hands to the wall.
