Tube passengers are being warned not to recover items that fall onto the tracks themselves.

Transport for London says the number of these kinds of incidents more than doubled between 2022 and last year.

They say people risk serious injury to themselves and others by going onto live tracks and can also face a fine or prosecution.

Anyone who loses their belonging on the tracks is urged to stay on the platform and ask a member of staff for help.
