Lib Dem Councillor for Teddington and one of the longest-serving members on Richmond Council, Martin Elengorn, has died at the age of 79.

Twickenham’s MP, Munia Wilson, said:

Martin Elengorn faithfully served the residents of Teddington for over 40 years on the council. He was absolutely passionate about climate change and the impact it will have on children and young people.

Meanwhile, Twickenham Councillor James Chard, said:

Very sad to learn of the death of Cllr Martin Elengorn.

Martin will be greatly missed by the many residents he helped in Teddington and beyond, as well as by officers and councillors he worked with over 40 years on the Council.

A kind, witty, and hugely knowledgeable man.
