Tributes are continuing to come in for Margaret McDonagh, Labour’s first female general secretary.

She passed away on Saturday at the age of 61.

Her sister, Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhan McDonagh, says “she was kind, generous, and brave”.

Meanwhile, Croydon North MP Steve Reed says she was “a total legend of our labour movement, loved and respected in equal measure”.
