There’s still no word on whether a fire at a Grade II listed pub in Mitcham Common two weeks ago was arson.

Historic England is working with Merton Council in securing the Burn Bullock, which is privately owned.

Nearby residents want the authority to compulsory purchase the pub and bring it back to its former glory.

But MP for Mitcham and Morden, Siobhain McDonagh, says police have so far been unable to even get in and assess the damage.
