There’s been a warning about the dangers of baby slings following the death of a six-week-old boy in West London.

Jimmy Alderman collapsed after being breastfed in a carrier worn by his mum on the 11th of October last year.

Despite being resuscitated he died three days later at St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

The senior coroner for West London concluded there was “very little” information for parents on how to properly use slings.
