There’s about to be a shake-up of the way Croydon’s streets are cleaned.
What’s being described as a new and improved waste and recycling contract is expected to be approved by cabinet later this month.
The new eight-year contract is due to begin on the 1st of April next year.
Flats above shops will now receive an additional waste collection each week, resulting in two per week.
Additionally, there will be a new minimum weekly collection of food waste from all council housing estates.
