There’s a warning we could lose up to half our future medicines because so many plant species are facing extinction.

Nearly half of all those that flower are under threat, amounting to over 100-thousand.

Scientists hope the findings will encourage policy makers to take plants and fungi into account when choosing which areas to protect.
