There are calls for the consultation period for the closure of train station ticket offices to be extended.

It’s currently planned to only be three weeks.

Tooting MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan has written to the Transport Secretary, saying there needs to be “ample opportunity” to respond.

The plans to close the majority of the nation’s ticket offices over the next three years will soon be out for consultation.
