The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is urging ministers to end what it calls “Victorian punishment.”
It is currently unlawful, except in cases where it’s deemed a “reasonable punishment”.
Broadcaster and parent Ashley James, who lives in Surbiton, says it’s shocking it’s sometimes still allowed.
