The council is currently putting together its Carers and Young Carers Charter and wants people undertaking a caring role to get in touch.
The future Charter will outline priorities that authorities and voluntary organisations will need to pledge to work to.
The council has launched a survey for unpaid carers to complete which can be found via its website until the end of March.
