The University of Surrey has secured almost a million pounds to investigate antidepressant prescribing in the South Asian community.

£905,000 has been awarded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.

The community is the largest minority ethnic group in the UK.

Professors say it has specific mental health needs that may not be fully met by the current primary care system.
