The Solicitor General is appealing against the murder sentence handed to the father of Sara Sharif over concerns it’s unduly lenient.

Urfan Sharif was jailed for at least 40 years last month after the 10-year-old was found dead at her home in Woking in 2023.

She’d suffered horrific abuse.
