The Prime Minister’s refused to say if he backs Heathrow expansion – after plans were delayed by four years.

Former Chancellor Rachel Reeves gave airport bosses an “ambitious” target of completing a third runway by 2035.

That’s now been scrapped with expectations that planning permission would be granted by 2029 – with the runway constructed within a decade.

Campaigner Robert Barnstone is calling for the matter to be devolved to the London Assembly.
